The Sparrow’s Morning War Cry 2024

Just month’s removed from “an emotionally driven masterpiece that breeds elements of a multitude of genres…. all done with a certain haunt and edginess to it that has a way of grabbing at you.” Buzz Slayers, Justin John Scheck is back.  “For this record, I imagined Tom Waits and Nirvana went back in time to the 19th Century and taught Pirates about Music.”  claims the Artist.  It is an album which relied most heavily on guitar.  The Sparrow’s Morning War Cry is due out March 7th, 2024 with two singles preceding the album.   The Album is the third in a collection of Concept Albums written by the Artist in just over a year, this time covering the topics of addiction and mental illness.  Truth be told, it is an album that is a collection of remixed and rebooted and reinvented songs previously released in LoFi.  The Artist reworked, remixed, re-recorded and remastered them over a two month period in Autumn of 2023.

Get In Line For Now!  You Won't Want To Miss It.

Written over a 5 day period at the peak of a manic state, Artist/Producer Justin John Scheck created what he defines as an album about manic love, both romantic and non-romantic.

JJS claims he hasn’t so much as held a woman's hand in over 5 years. "I'm basically asexual. It has always haunted me. This overwhelming feeling of a higher calling", and as he puts it, "You can't serve the people and serve yourself." And this is precisely what the album is about. "And now that Kanye West came out as a Nazi, I feel it is even more important to represent those of us who are Bipolar. I'm not trying to sell anyone any shoes either."

Get In Line For Now is his 2nd Concept Album in less than a year, and the 3rd entitled The Sparrow’s Morning War Cry (an album about mental illness) will be out just 3 months later.

Fresh out of school at Full Sail University where he received a degree in Audio Production, for the first time the Artist is comfortable with the process from start to finish, hence, 5 days to write and record.

The first single entitled Paper Cups will be out September 14th, 2023.  It is a song written more than 20 years ago about the Artist’s struggles with relationships, and as the Artist put’s it, “I was describing this cycle of falling in and out of ‘love’ which was unknowingly due to the mood swings associated with Bipolar Disorder.  I’d sweep woman off their feet in a Manic State and then disappear in long drawn out depressed states.  It was brutal.”

Sonically the Album is a look back at Grunge and Psychedelic Rock, Blues Rock and with a little R&B and Hip-Hop and Dream Pop as well as a look ahead to Trip-Hop and Indie Rock and Indie Pop.

Once again, all proceeds gathered via Album sales, Digital Downloads and Streams will go to Hope House in Kansas City, Mo, the city the Artist now calls home.
